Botox for Chronic Migraines
As someone who personally suffers from migraines, I wanted to extend my expertise in injecting Botox to help others find relief. This led me to complete specialized training in Botox therapy for chronic migraines. I now offer this treatment to patients who experience frequent, debilitating headaches, with the goal of improving both their comfort and quality of life.
More about Botox for Migraines
Chronic migraine is a neurological condition defined by headache occurring on 15 or more days per month for at least 3 months, with migraine features on at least 8 of those days

How BOTOX works
It is thought that Botox blocks pain signals, which indirectly block the development of migraine.

How BOTOX is administered
Botox is injected into 7 specific head and neck muscle areas that may be contributing to the development of headaches. The recommended dose of Botox is 155 units in 31 sites, but if your doctor thinks it is necessary, he or she may decide to inject additional units of BOTOX.
It is recommended to receive treatment 12 weeks apart.

Preparing for treatment
We recommend to come 15 min before your procedure to fill out necessary paperwork. After this the procedure itself takes 15-20 minutes. The needle size is very small. You can go home as soon as your treatment is done.
